How to think like a wise person
You will always be a fool if you refuse to learn from your mistakes.

......speak your mind.....
1. Study the the ones who are 10, 20, 30 or 40 years older than you are.
As the old saying goes, "be kind to everyone because we will experience every stage of life". Try to befriend with the ones who are older than you are. If you could win their hearts and respect, they would share with you their valuable experiences and regrets. Their stories would make you think and if you are humble enough, you will try your best not to repeat their mistakes. Observe their lives. There are many things that you can learn from them. Basically, if you want them to be close to you, you have to be humble and friendly and you must have good manners. Otherwise, they would be very hard on you as they could be very good with sarcasm.
2. Visualize the older you.
If you are 16 years old, try to think like 26 years old. Imagine what you want to achieve when you are 26 years old. When you are 26 years old, imagine what you want to achieve when you are 36 years old. This continuous visualization will guide you to make important decisions as time is the best THIEF. In the blink of an eye, you will see grey hair in the mirror.
3. Write a yearly diary.
This diary is very important because you have to write down your dreams, challenges and solutions. Every time you celebrate your birthday, you can add more contents in your diary as you are the only who understands your own struggles and you are the only one who can properly acknowledge your own achievements. This diary will serve as a reminder, light , words of wisdom and your sources of inspiration. Is it just like your personal holy book.
4. Try to make peace with your ugly past.
Your ugly past can be the heaviest mountain on earth because the ugly past is mixed with fear, hatred, grudges, anger and guilt. Everybody makes mistakes. Everybody is a sinner. Everybody makes stupid decisions. None can be wise without being blindly naive. Every layer of the past is meant to be a lesson which is hidden in the many rivers of destiny. If you don't try to make peace with your past, that ugly past will negatively affect your relationship, friendship and your career and the worst part is every day is is wasted as you allow the past to steal your every day. Dragging the past into your present life could make you physically older than your actual age.
5. Always try to say good things to yourself.
As the wise saying goes, " be careful with your words as words become our actions which will gradually become our habit". Self-motivation is very important because no one can always be there for us as no one can PERFECTLY walk in our shoes. This life will always try to find ways to poke us but we have to make efforts to adapt to the uncertainties which do not require perfection but reflection. In other words, continuous efforts must be made to improve the quality of the relationship between our minds and hearts. If these two always contradict each other, every day will be a Monday.
6. Always tell yourself that you don't know everything.
Reading and thinking are two very important exercises. Reading is the cheapest way to travel all over the world and reading you will keep you ahead of others silently. Reading will also help us to look at a particular subject from new or different perspectives while thinking helps us to be mentally young and sharp no mater how old we get. Thinking also helps us to revise our actions and decisions. Lack of thinking will always lead to poor decision making. All in all, reading and thinking will help us to revisit and revise our thinking patterns because what is right today could be wrong tomorrow.
7. Learn to remain calm when you meet negative people.
In life, we will meet many types of people. Some are meant to build us while some are meant to test our patience. Nevertheless, both play important roles in defining who we are, who we should be or who we want to be. We decide whether they should stay or leave. Sometimes, we meet people who are very negative which may trigger all of the negative buttons in our mind but those negative responses could be temporary as we decide whether there is something that we could learn from those negative people or we choose to consider that person as mentally and emotionally sick.
